Hudl — Blitz '22

Some of the most iconic names in football spoke at Hudl's second annual football summit. Once again, I had my hands all over every inch of it, including hosting four panel discussions, writing the opening keynote from our CEO, writing scripts for our promotional videos, and handling all email and social. There's over three dozen sessions to watch, including Deion Sanders, Doug Pederson, Zac Taylor, Dave Aranda and Marcus Freeman. Dig In!

Hudl — The Mad Scientist

Why does everyone, from MIT to Halliburton to top NFL executives, want a piece of this high school football coach in Little Rock, Arkansas? I went inside the mind of Kevin Kelley, whose fabled never-punt, always-onside ethos makes him one of football’s most sought-after idea men.

ESPN — The Gronk-ification of Mass. high school football

Two of the most talented recruits to come through Massachusetts in recent years have completely changed how coaches across the Bay State are using their weapons. And we have a certain No. 87 to thank.

USA Today — 'The kid checks off a lot of boxes'

What's it like to be a potential first-round draft pick? I had the opportunity to chronicle the MLB Draft journey of All-American Mike Vasil throughout his senior season at Boston College High. His first start of 2018 drew nearly 100 scouts

Hudl — NEXTGEN Series

The best way to stay on top of the game? Change it. For our first installment of our NEXTGEN series at Hudl, I profiled seven coaches who are changing football with the way they leveraging data and technology to elevate their own programs. You may have heard of one of these guys — he's the one who famously doesn't punt.

ESPN — For Tim Collins, size never mattered

From un-hittable but un-recruitable high school phenom, to street free agent, to 5--foot-7 Major League reliever, to World Series champion. Worcester native Tim Collins' ascent to unheralded baseball stardom is one of the more remarkable stories I've chronicled over my career. This was my first big break getting on the front pages of ESPN.com.

There's over 40 sessions to watch, from Jon Gruden and John Harbaugh to the most distinguished names in college and high school football.

ESPN — Meet Obi Melifonwu, the NFL draft's biggest workout freak

I've been covering Patriots safety Obi Melifonwu since he was a 15-year-old quarterback at Grafton High School. His journey is a quintessential American story: Born in London to Nigerian immigrants, raised in suburban Boston by a mother worked overtime as a nurse to support him and his three brothers, now living the dream in the NFL. His 2017 combine performance is something of legend.

ESPN — Brighton's journey ends with painful lesson

Hugh Coleman is one of Boston's all-time great orators and motivators, whose mentorship from the legendary Jack O'Brien has been chronicled in nonfiction, and whose work with Brighton High's boys basketball program has been honored by the Boston Celtics. "Hughdini" gave me unfettered access to his Brighton team for the 24 hours leading up and through its 2012 state final appearance, which ended with the Bengals on the receiving end of one of the tournament's all-time biggest upsets. This is my chronicle.

ESPN — Derrick Gordon: Coming out a freeing experience

A few weeks after former UMass guard came out as the first openly gay Division 1 men's college basketball player, I had a chance to catch up with him after a TEDx talk on campus. It remains one of the more important interviews of my career.
