About Me

Marketing isn’t just the landscape of our lives. It’s the fabric of hundreds of thousands of communities across the country. Connecting them all has long been a central theme in many of my most successful campaigns. It’s also where any marketer finds their most moving stories.

The best marketers are the best storytellers. My career flourishes on telling stories that impact lives decades after they go live.

In my current position at Hudl, one of the world’s leading sports tech brands, I own the end-to-end process of bringing powerful customer stories to life. I talk to more customers on a day-to-day basis than the rest of my department combined – and it shows in my work. My best campaigns have returned some of the highest digital traffic in our company’s history, and translated to legitimate leads and sales. I do this by not only bringing out the colorful details, but by challenging our customers’ conventions about how they run their sports teams.

So often, people mistake creativity for simply uniqueness, or contrarian jolts of inspiration. Real creative drive comes from finding a way to your goal no matter what the conditions or limitations. It’s as much about your work ethic as it is your mindset.

To that, there’s no better example of this in my career than my time as the high school editor of ESPNBoston, under the guise of the New England Patriots and Kraft Sports Group. With severe limitations in budget and manpower, but a blank canvas to build how I saw fit, I created a vertical that within its first year of operation surpassed our Celtics and Bruins coverage combined as one of the most heavily-trafficked entities in the entire site. We thrived for the next half-decade, bringing in millions of readers every year. I didn’t just wear the hats of writer, editor, photographer and videographer — I mastered the arts of marketing, promotions and sponsorship sales on the fly.

I say all this about creativity to say this: In this new world we’re entering, your storytellers will need to thrive on the front lines more than ever. I’ve lived my entire career in this space — and have the scoreboard to prove it.
